We meet on a popular dating site. Danny first saw Nimi’s page and had to email this beautiful woman with the feisty hair. Normally his plan was to send a general interest email. However there was something special about this woman so a normal copy and paste would not suffice.

Almost immediately Nimi responded. Danny was on his way to work so he could not immediately respond back to her. When Nimi saw that Danny had read without responding she was frustrated and let him know. “If your just going to play around don’t bother.” Normally this would be a red flag for Danny and he would avoid communication. But there was something about Nimi he had to continue. “Sorry I was just on my way to work, I will respond tonight when I get off. I promise!” He did. They chatted that night late into the night. Over the last week Nimi was not far from Danny’s mind and the same was true for her.

The next weekend Danny had a trip to Oregon for a friend’s wedding. They texted and talked quite a bit while he was on his trip. In fact they talked almost his whole drive back to California (16 hours). In the early morning of March 13th Danny suggested as he was driving through LA on his way home that he pick up Nimi and take her to breakfast. Nimi told him she was tired and up all night talking to him so IF they went out she was not going to wear make up and she would probably wear sweats. Danny agreed that was a fair trade since she had stayed up all night with him.

Danny picked up Nimi around 8 am. They went to breakfast at a Hollywood restaurant called Waffle. The had great conversation and at the end of their meal Danny started to get anxious. He had never meet anyone like Nimi and immediately knew that there was something very special. He did not want to admit it at first but it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Before he dropped Nimi off at home he asked her “Is this really happening” Nimi knew exactly what he was talking about. They decided they would go on a second proper date the following night. There were many dates to follow.

Nimi had planned a surprise birthday party for Danny. Little did she know Danny was the one with the surprise…
